What We Do.

Our Mission.

To be the united voice of all fitness professionals in Connecticut to keep our state healthier and fit.

Today’s Priorities.

During the COVID-19 crisis, the Connecticut Fitness Alliance has three primary objectives:

Reopening.

Partner with state and local officials to set and define safe, effective reopening standards and guidelines.

Relief.

Seek federal and state aid and relief for the fitness industry, which has been severely impacted by the COVID19 outbreak.

Recovery.

Make it easy for all members of our community to join their local club, studio, or gym by advocating for membership dues as an approved pre-tax health benefit, free of sales and use taxes.

The health club industry—including health clubs, fitness centers, gyms, sports clubs, studios, boutiques, and more—continues to grow and offer a variety of programming that would help encourage all people to be physically active. In the U.S., more than 73 million people belong to or regularly visit a health club—a testament to the community support and encouragement found within a health club environment.
